Project summary

Artesania Cerda was looking to create a 2D animation to showcase its products and services. The video aimed to demonstrate the convenience and growth potential of their product range, services and platform. The final aim was to attractively illustrate the business benefits.

Need

Artesania Cerda wanted to highlight the ease with which its broad portfolio of offerings could be integrated into companies, and its unique services dedicated to managing day-to-day business operations. The customer was keen to showcase the diversity of their licensed products, from children’s items to adult trends, including pet accessories.

Solution

To meet their demands, we created a 2D animated video, offering the viewer a glimpse into a day in the life of a businesswoman. The video highlights how Artesania Cerda’s offerings and services simplify her work and boost the profitability of her business. Using playful visuals, including characters, props and scenery, the animation brings the scenario to life in a captivating way.

Concept
& Ideas

Sketches

During the first phase, we produced a series of sketches to illustrate the key moments of the video. These sketches depicted a stressed entrepreneur, various products and Cerdá’s three main services. We shared these sketches with the customer for initial feedback, and adjusted them according to their comments.

Storyboard

Once the sketches had been approved, we drew up a storyboard to provide a visual guide for the narrative. It presented each service and its benefits, culminating in a graphic representation of the company’s growth. We carefully reviewed this storyboard with our client, refining it to ensure that his message was well represented.

Colors

We used a vibrant, playful color palette that reflected the colors of the Cerdá brand. We tested several mood boards with the customer, before settling on a palette that evoked a fun, energetic atmosphere while appealing to a wide audience.

Textures

We opted for smooth, flat textures, in keeping with the style of the 2D video. After producing several texture samples. Textures that gave a clean, uncluttered look to the visuals, making sure they were aligned with the video’s overall aesthetic.

Illustrations

The illustration phase involved creating playful, dynamic visuals that embodied a comic-book-style aesthetic. We produced a series of prototype illustrations covering a range of categories and presented them to the client. Their feedback was taken into account to create attractive final illustrations in line with their brand.
